Are you headed to Workday Rising this year? Workday’s annual gathering of customers, prospective customers, partners, and employees is full of opportunities to network, explore, attend sessions, celebrate the community, and of course, learn.
Workday Rising is being held October 1-4 in Las Vegas, and we’re heading back this year to share some of our brightest ideas, celebrate accomplishments, and make the future better, together. Here’s our list of the top four ways to make the most of your time there:
1. Network with the Workday Community
No matter where you’re from, the size of your organization, or what your business needs are, Workday Rising has something for everyone. The event will bring together more than 10,000 attendees from around the world. It’s the perfect place to discuss your business growth objectives, prepare for the future, gain deeper business insights, talk about better business decisions, and get to know other people from different companies. Remember that in networking, you’ll only get what you give – listen and offer advice when you can.
2. Have Fun
With sessions to attend, expo booths to check out, and inspiring keynotes within the conference center, your schedule will be packed, but we hope you get out and enjoy what Las Vegas has to offer. From watching the Fountains of Bellagio and checking out the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, to soaking up city views on the Las Vegas High Roller Observation Wheel, the city has so much to offer. Best of all, these attractions are all a short ride away from the conference center.
And while you’ll likely have plenty of emails to answer and phone calls to take, don’t forget to have a little fun while you’re there and attend conference happy hours and parties – it is Las Vegas, after all. With all the fun, don’t forget to stay hydrated and healthy so you can make those 8:30am keynotes.
3. Gain Valuable Insights
The sessions at Workday Rising are phenomenal, so you’re sure to learn no matter which ones you attend. With so many to choose from, we recommend considering sessions that map back to your personal job role and support your business needs. With these considerations in mind, you can hone in on the sessions that will bring the most value to you. Of course, we recommend you check out Collaborative Solutions’ session “Data that Empowers: Leveraging Dashboards and Scorecards to Solve your Analytics Needs” to learn how to leverage Workday to improve data analysis and solve complex report needs.
4. Bring Back Your Top Takeaways
Last but not least, remember to think about your own job role and how you can relate all the sessions, networking, keynotes, and booth visits back to your business objectives. Take notes so you can share with your coworkers. Exchange phone numbers with those you’ve connected with and keep in touch on how you might be able to make the future better, together.
