For Second Year, FORTUNE Recognizes Collaborative Solutions as a ‘Best Workplace for Diversity’

RESTON, VA – December 7, 2018 – Collaborative Solutions announced its placement on FORTUNE Magazine and Great Place to Work®’s list of 2018 Best Workplaces for Diversity at #70. This is the second year the company has been on this list.

“We are humbled to have been recognized on this list in back-to-back years,” said Carroll Ross, Collaborative Solutions Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “The Collaborative family is made up of people from many different backgrounds, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Our inclusive culture thrives because we appreciate all of the learning and growing opportunities presented with a diverse workforce.”

The Best Workplaces for Diversity list was based on a 60-question survey evaluating the experiences of women, people of color, LGBTQ people, employees who are of the ‘Baby Boomer’ generation or older, and people who have disabilities. The survey measured trust, pride, and camaraderie experienced in the workplace, and how those experiences compare to their colleagues’ experiences at the same workplace. Also considered in the rankings were employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the consistency of leadership effectiveness.

Collaborative Solutions’ commitment to diversity begins in the recruitment pipeline and is woven into day-to-day work life. The recruiting team actively seeks candidates through a variety of outlets to ensure top talent and a diverse make up of employees. From there, programs are implemented to support individuals in reaching their full potential, as well as to keep a pulse on sentiment and growth areas. Initiatives such as 1:1 mentorship, matching new and senior consultants together, as well as manager effectiveness surveys have proven to help foster employee development and understand company strengths and identify areas for improvement. Aside from these initiatives, the organization’s open-door policy, where leadership is open and receptive to feedback, is instrumental in shaping the familial, inclusive culture.

“The 2018 Best Workplaces for Diversity are at the forefront of creating workplaces that are better for business and better for their people,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “These workplaces not only pay attention to how diverse their workforce and management teams are, but close critical gaps in how all their people are treated and developed day-to-day.”

Collaborative Solutions’ is honored to close out 2018 with a number of meaningful workplace awards received throughout the year, including:
