May Spotlight: Toya Williams

Title:  Engagement Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC

Been with Collaborative since: March 2019

Why did you choose Collaborative?

I chose Collaborative for a number of reasons. However, my primary reason was the culture.  From my very first encounter with the Collaborative recruiting team, I felt like I was valued as a potential team member. I also had the pleasure of knowing some Collabies prior to working here, so they had set a great example of what it would be like to be a member of the Collaborative Solutions team.

What makes you enjoy working at Collaborative?

I enjoy working at Collaborative because it provides all of the things I love about consulting. I love working on new and exciting projects with groundbreaking technology and meeting new people in diverse organizations. Collaborative also excels in areas that other consulting firms often struggle. It can feel like a given that, as consultants, we miss the opportunity to be a part of an organization that invests in and develops its people, but Collaborative provides that, plus a culture that fosters collaboration and fun!

How does Collaborative help you grow as a person and in your career?

Collaborative has helped me grow as a person by giving me a space where my existing talent and skills are valued and appreciated. At the same time, Collaborative makes an effort to grow its teams, investing in our skills and providing opportunities for us to seek diversity in our careers.

What is your favorite TV show?

“A girl is no one!”  Fans of Game of Thrones will quickly recognize that as a line from the infamous show.  It is such a guilty, sinful pleasure.  I have only become a fan recently, after binge watching all 8 seasons in preparation for the distressing final season.  It will be heartbreaking to see it go after the final episode.   Luckily, I have recorded all eight seasons!

Toya is a great example of the Collabie way! If you're interested in joining Team Collabie, check out our openings and apply by clicking the button below.
