Collaborative Solutions Ranks #1 on FORTUNE and Great Place to Work's Best Small & Medium Workplaces List in 2020

Company ranks #1 on noteworthy list from Fortune and Great Place to Work®.

Reston, VA – October 16, 2020 – Great Place to Work® and Fortune have honored Collaborative Solutions as one of the 2020 Best Small & Medium Workplaces™ for the fifth consecutive year. The ranking is based on confidential survey feedback representing more than 189,000 employees working at small- and medium-sized businesses in the United States. Collaborative took the #1 spot on the list.

Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and company culture research firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team.  Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies that best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.

“We are always looking for new ways to keep employees engaged and happy," said Bob Maller, Chief Culture Officer at Collaborative. “It is very rewarding to know that our efforts to create an inclusive and engaging workplace culture is felt by our employees. We strive to build trust within the organization, and that has helped us navigate a difficult 2020.”

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces stand out for exceling in one of the nation’s most competitive marketplaces. Collaborative has continued to focus on its employee-centric culture in 2020 by creating unique virtual opportunities for employees to connect with one another and feel supported. One such creative outlet was a virtual “Week of Learning” where employees hosted group workshops with topics such as how to build a birdhouse, Tibetan Singing Bowls and meditation, yoga, baking banana pudding, and more. To encourage honest feedback and transparency, Collaborative has ramped up its “Collabie Convos” program in which employees gather virtually in small groups to discuss topics with leaders of the company, such as “Balancing Back to School” for working parents, and “Getting There, Together” to discuss racial issues and allyship, which can be difficult conversations in the workplace.

“Best Workplaces like Collaborative Solutions have built dynamic, flexible, and transparent workplaces founded on trust,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “This gives companies on this list a powerful opportunity not just to do well for their people, but also to do well for their businesses.”

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces list is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified organizations. This recognition follows other noteworthy honors throughout 2020 thus far for Collaborative Solutions, including Fortune Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services, Top 100 Best Companies in Florida, Top Workplaces in D.C., Best Places to Work in Atlanta, and Fortune Best Place to Work for Millennials, Fortune Best Place to Work for Women, as well as recognitions for our Executive Leadership Team.
